BUCYRUS — Galion edged Bucyrus in a girls’ tennis match at Bucyrus High School Wednesday.

Galion’s Emma Ross defeated the Lady Red’s Hannah Scott, 6-1, 6-2 in first singles. In second singles, Bucyrus’ Addy Young blanked the Tigers’ Hannah Nelson, 6-0, 6-0. Third singles went to Galion, as Calista Robbins got by Adalyn Zornes, 6-4, 6-0.

The Tigers’ team of Mya Roelle and Ashley Franks defeat Lady Red’s Emma Graves and Natalie Hankins, 6-1, 6-2 in first doubles. Bucyrus took second doubles when Addy Weber and Layla Swerlein dropped Alyssa Woodmansee and Lily Diosi, 6-3, 6-3.

Bucyrus’ Amirah Price and Ella Green won a junior varsity doubles match, 8-6, and Mya Rothhaar won a jayvee singles match, 6-3.

Lady Red will be back in action on Monday at Willard. Galion is at Pleasant on Thursday.
