UPPER SANDUSKY — Twelve winners and runners-up from the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf association summer series of tournaments competed in the Chad A. Wheeler “Best of the Best” tournament at Lincoln Hills Golf Club on Tuesday.
The 18-hole round was played from the white tees and Nathan Stewart of Delaware Christian carded the low score of 78, which included nine pars and a birdie. Pleasant’s Minoy Shah finished second with a 79.
Three tied for third place at 83: Justin Breckinridge of Fairbanks, Zack Herbert of Big Walnut and Spencer Keller of Galion. Olentangy’s Robbie Bean and Logan Bocsy of Fairbanks tied for sixth at 84.
Other players included Mount Gilead’s Mallory Graham (87) and Hayes Bentley (88), Talon Monitcue of River Valley (94), Rocco Longbrake of Kenton (95) and Owen Knapp of Upper Sandusky (102).
Stewart will be presented a plaque for his win at the HOJGA year-end awards banquet to be held on July 26 at Kings Mill Golf Club in Waldo. Guest speaker for the event will be Dr. Ralph Ballenger.
HOJGA serves golfers ages 9-18 in seven central Ohio counties, including Crawford, Delaware, Hardin, Marion, Morrow, Union and Wyandot.
