The Galion golf team continued its dominance over the Tigers’ Crawford County neighbors on Wednesday with a 170-195 victory over Buckeye Central at Sycamore Creek.
Galion’s Jack McElligott was match medalist with a 39 and Brevin Owens backed that up with a 42. Also scoring for the Tigers were Mitch Dyer with a 44 and Colten Skaggs with a 45. Matt Kingseed, 47, and Kaleb Harsh, 50, also played for the Tigers.
The Bucks’ low score belonged to Dalton Sheaffer who turned in a 45. Adam Krebs posted a 47. Josh Dentinger, 49, and Nick Fike, 54, rounded out the scoring for Buckeye Central.
Luke Maxhimer with a 57 and Nic Ratliff with a 65 also played for the Bucks.
Galion improves to 5-7 and Buckeye Central is now 3-7.
The match eneded the Bucks’ regular season and they will next play Sept. 29 at Valley View in the Division III sectional tournament.
