With the regular season entering its twilight, wins are of great importance to many area teams, but the Fanatics and the fans agree on the projected winners for most of the contests.

The WQEL game of the week with Mohawk at Wynford has high stakes as the Royals look to squeeze into the playoffs while Mohawk looks to remain undefeated and clinch at least a share of the Northern 10 title before a county showdown with Upper Sandusky in Week 10. Despite what’s at stake, the Fanatics and fans all agree the Warriors will be too much for Wynford and will continue on the warpath to the N10 crown.

Everyone agreed that the Tigers won’t be tamed in Week 9 either, as Seneca East is picked to send Colonel Crawford back to North Robinson with a loss and Galion is picked to successfully defend Heise Park against Ontario.

All the Fanatics also pick Carey in a showdown that will have Buckeye Central still looking for its first win in 2018.

Other unanimous picks were Northmor handling Centerburg before a Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference heavyweight bout in Week 10 with Highland, and River Valley over a struggling Marion Harding team.

Josh Stallings was the loner thinking St. John will get its revenge in a rematch from an earlier 52-0 loss to Crestline, and also thinking Ridgedale will win the Rocket rumble against Berne Union.

James Massara had to choose between his parents’ employers in the battle for sixth place in the N10, and eventually went with the Rams. Will Beard and the fans also think Upper Sandusky will overcome starting a backup quarterback, while the majority think Bucyrus will be able to notch its first win versus Upper Sandusky since both being in the N10.

The most split game was a 5-4 split with Beard, Stallings, Jared Moore and the fans taking Shelby over Oak Harbor in a Sandusky Bay Conference showdown.
