There were multiple disagreements and a few loners as the Fanatics hit the halfway point of the season.

The fan vote broke two even splits and tilted some near ties where the Fanatics were pretty divided.

The Q92.7 WQEL broadcast game between Mohawk and Seneca East proved to be a point of interest, as the Fanatics were split 4-4 before the fans broke the tie in favor of the Warriors. The fans also picked Elgin to continue with their hold on the Northwest Central Conference to break the Comets’ tie with Lehman Catholic.

Meanwhile, Josh Stallings was the only Fanatic to think Danville can withstand the Northmor Golden Knights in the Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference. At the same time, Tim Birie believes Buckeye Central can pick up its first win and spoil Upper Sandusky’s homecoming as the Rams are on a two-game losing streak. Everyone else thinks the Rams will bounce back after two larger losses to Galion and Colonel Crawford.

Davey Jones and Dan Messerschmidt were the lone picks in Bucyrus’ favor which is hosting a Carey team looking to bounce back from losing to county-rival Mohawk.

Stallings and Will Beard both think Ridgedale will make the long drive back from Fairfield Christian the victors, while the others think the Knights will be too much for the Rockets. The fans joined Jared Moore with the thought that Crestline can put Gates Mills Hawken at 0-5.

The majority of the Fanatics took Wynford to remain the keepers of the Iron Plow against Colonel Crawford, and think Shelby will be able to recover from last week’s loss at Bellevue by defeating Norwalk.

The lone unanimous pick was Galion defeating River Valley in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference action.
