The field for the Bucyrus Ladies Invitational bowling tournament continued to shrink over the weekend as two more were knocked from the field.

On Saturday, Joy Steurer knocked her opponent, Betty Eulett, from the tournament 617-591. The rookie of the field, Lori Angel, survived by ousting Sharon Alspach 643-619.

Out of the winners’ bracket on Saturday Patricia Horsley sent the defending champion, Tacsha Ridgeway, over to the losers’ bracket, 724-663; and Lisa Penwell knocked Trica Breighner from the ranks of the unbeatens, 739-666.

On Sunday, two more bowlers went to the sidelines. Ridgeway eliminated Joy Steurer, 705-661; and Angel knocked out Breighner, 743-673.

The tournament will pick up at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Suburban Lanes. In the winners’ bracket, Horsley will face off with Penwell, while in the losers’ bracket it will be Ridgeway versus Angel.

At 5 p.m. on Wednesday the winner of the losers’ bracket will face the loser of the winners’ bracket with a berth in the finals at stake.
