Friday the thirteenth turned out to be unlucky for a few teams in the NCC as the final season for the boys division of the conference tipped off Friday night under gymnasium lights.

The Colonel Crawford Eagles outscored the Galion Tigers 23-10 in the fourth period to defeat the Tigers 57-48.

Colonel Crawford was led in scoring by Connor McCreary with 16 points, Nate Klingenberger contributed 15, and Todd Entenman added 11.

Trailing by four entering the final stanza, the Eagles soared at the free throw line knocking down 10 of 15 at the line to win their fifth straight game.

Galion, now 1-3 on the year were led by Houston Blair with 13 points and Lucas Bohac with 12.

Buckeye Central and Wynford were evenly matched through the first period of their opener Friday night with the score knotted up at 12. The second and third periods were a different tale with
B.C. outscoring Wynford 20-13 in the second, and 20-8 in the third to coast to a 65-49 victory.

In other action around the league Bucyrus and Riverdale took their league opener into bonus time as the Redmen beat the Raiders 58-55 in overtime and the Upper Sandusky Rams survived to win over the Crestline Bulldogs 49-53.
