BUCYRUS — The second round of the 52nd Bucyrus Ladies Invitational Bowling Tournament was completed Sunday afternoon at Suburban Lanes and four bowlers were eliminated from the field of 16.
In the winners’ bracket, Morgan Swavel defeated Carrie Spears, 780-637. Robin Pangallo dropped defending champion Brittany Slagle, 747-688, Sharon Alspach edged Elveda Ralph, 684-653, and Sharon Jeffries beat Sonja Striker, 734-658.
In the losers’ bracket, Charlie Britt slipped past Kathy Watts, 701-677, Betty Eulett bested Michelle Sebring, 625-594, Lisa Penwell defeated Patricia Horsley, 658-585 and Joy Steurer beat Barb Stauffer, 703-616.
Watts, Sebring, Horsley and Stauffer were eliminated from the tournament.
Action resumes on Tuesday with four matches in the losers’ bracket. Charlie Britt takes on Elveda Ralph, Betty Eulett faces Sonja Striker, Lisa Penwell tangles with Carrie Spears and Joy Steurer goes against Brittany Slagle.
The four losers’ Tuesday will be eliminated.
