BUCYRUS — The 52nd Bucyrus Ladies Invitational Bowling Tournament continued with three sessions over the past week at Suburban Lanes.
On Tuesday, in the losers’ bracket, Betty Eulett defeated Sonja Striker, 645-611; Carrie Spears dropped Lisa Penwell, 717-663; Brittany Slagle bested Joy Steurer, 883-675; and Charlie Britt edged Elveda Ralph, 672-660.
Striker, Penwell, Steurer and Ralph were eliminated from the field.
On Saturday, in the winners’ bracket, Morgan Swavel slipped past Robin Pangallo, 634-632 and Sharon Alspach held off Sharon Jeffries, 669-649.
In the losers’ bracket, Slagle topped Spears, 687-647 while Britt defeated Eulett, 735-576. Spears and Eulett were dropped from the tournament.
On Sunday, in the losers’ bracket, Pangallo topped Britt, 684-670 and Slagle rolled past Jeffries, 768-566, knocking Britt and Jeffries from the field.
The tournament will continue Tuesday, with Swavel meeting Alspach in the winners’ bracket and Slagle taking on Pangallo in the losers’ bracket.
The winners’ bracket winner will bowl the losers’ bracket winner on Saturday at 1 p.m. for the Invitational championship.
