BUCYRUS — The second week of bowling concluded in the 53rd Ladies Invitational Bowling Tournament, reducing the field to four bowlers.

On Tuesday, there were four matches in the losers’ bracket. Shelly Kidder defeated Regina Sabo, 726-603; Catrina Parker edged Joy Steurer, 711-698; Kathy Watts got by Robin Pangallo, 743-673; Sharon Jeffries topped Lisa Penwell, 742-569.

Sabo, Steurer, Pangallo and Penwell were eliminated from the tournament.

On Saturday, in the winners’ bracket, Patricia Horsley slipped past Morgan Swavel, 711-698 and Brittany Slagle bested Michelle Sebring, 700-614.

In the losers’ bracket, Jeffries slipped by Watts 660-656 and Parker beat Kidder, 660-608. Watts and Kidder dropped from the field.

On Sunday, in the losers’ bracket, Swavel defeated Parker, 753-698 and Jeffries took down Sebring, 687-633, eliminating Parker and Sebring.

The tournament continues at Suburban Lanes on Tuesday. Horsley will face Slagle in the winners’ bracket and Swavel takes on Jeffries in the losers’ bracket.

The two survivors will bowl for the championship on Saturday at 1 p.m.
