Opening their post-season play at Sandusky High School, the Colonel Crawford Eagles extended their season with a win over the Lucas Cubs.
The Eagles jumped out to a 20-8 first quarter lead Friday night. Crawford would add another 12 points in the second to Lucas’ 10 points to take a 31-18 lead into the half. The Eagles’ Gavin Feichtner went 3-3 behind the arc during the first half on his way to an 11-point performance.

Emerging from the lockers after the half, the Cubs and Eagles played even keel in the third with both teams scoring 11 points. Lucas would outscore the Eagles in the fourth 21-16, but the first half lead that the Eagles took proved to be too much as they held on to the 59-50 win.
Colonel Crawford’s Cameron McCreary led all scorers in the game with 19 points.
With the victory the Eagles improve to 17-6 on the season and will play Norwalk St. Paul in the Division IV B=boys district semifinals in Willard on March 7 at 6:15 p.m.
The Cubs had three scorers reach double digits. Jackson Hauger led the team with 16 points, Josh Murphy added 15, and Jacob Miller contributed 13 points.
The Cubs finish their season with a 14-10 record.
