The Colonel Crawford Eagles picked up their first N10 win of the year yesterday as they defeated Bucyrus, 8-6.
Both teams scored a pair of runs in the first inning with each getting only one hit. The Eagles took a two-run lead in the third on Ethan Studer’s two-run double with Bucyrus picking up a run in sixth to make it a one-run game with an inning to play.
Colonel Crawford picked up four runs in the seventh with Blake Trisch hitting a three-run homer. Bucyrus wasn’t done though as they picked up three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
The Eagles’ Jake Johnson working in relief of starter Cameron Spangler picked up the win, striking out nine and walking three. Bucyrus starter Gavin Lewis took the loss, striking out 13 and walking five.
Both teams play each other again Friday in North Robinson. A photo gallery of Tuesday’s game can be found here.
