It was a battle of N10 and Crawford County foes in women’s hoops last night when the Colonel Crawford Lady Eagles welcomed the Wynford Lady Royals to North Robinson. A strong defensive second half by the Lady Eagles and two players scoring double figures propelled them to a 43-31 win over the Lady Royals.

Alexus Burkhart and Ashley Gwirtz each had 13 points to lead Colonel Crawford, with Taylor Webster adding eight points and five rebounds. The win moves Crawford to 4-3 and 2-1 in N10 play. The Lady Eagles play next on Saturday when they travel to take on Seneca East.

The loss drops Wynford to 2-4 and 2-1 in conference play. The Lady Royals were led by Gretchen Harris with 15 points, while Olivia Grove added 10 points and four rebounds. Wynford is also off until Saturday when the Lady Royals go on the road to Carey.
