CRESTLINE — Crestline rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Wynford in a Division IV volleyball sectional semifinal at Crestline High School.
The Royals, the No. 8 seed, won the first two sets by scores of 25-14 and 25-20 and were on the verge of closing out the win.
The No. 7 seed Bulldogs had other ideas. They came back to narrowly win the third set, 26-24, then sealed the victory with wins in sets four and five, 25-17 and 15-12.
Addie Wood led Wynford (6-17), going 20 of 21 serving with three aces, good for 14 points. She also had 14 assists.
Macey Zinser had 18 kills, Rylee Alspach had 16 digs and Lyndie Williams finished with 16 receptions.
The loss ends Wynford’s season. Crestline (9-14) advances to the sectional final, facing No. 2 seed Monroeville at Monroeville High School Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
