Crawford swimmers dominate at Eagle Sprint

Colonel Crawford outstripped all the other teams that competed in the Eagle Sprint meet on Saturday. The boys and girls team both placed first in team rankings (460 and 438, respectively). Thirteen new meet records were set in the 26-event meet – seven of which were set by Colonel Crawford swimmers.

Seven of the 12 swimmers in the 50 yard butterfly event finished faster than last year’s record set by Raye Hershey (33.76), though McCombs took home the top prize with 28.48.

The Colonel Crawford relay team A, consisting of Kacey Gardner, Megan Sharp, Madison Sharp, and Chloe Grove, set a new record (4:11.79) in the 400 yard freestyle relay event. They not only put a new record on the books by overthrowing last year’s team of Fogle, Carman, Schimpf, and Campbell (4:17.73), but they also outstripped the competition by over 20 seconds.
