1. Wynford (5-1): The Royals made the road trip to Sycamore and came home with a hard-fought 7-0 victory over previously-undefeated Mohawk. Wynford will make an even longer trip to Lima to take on the 5-1 Central Catholic Thunderbirds. The game will have a playoff atmosphere with a boatload of computer points on the line.

2. Galion (4-2): The Tigers hung with Division II Marion Harding early, but ultimately dropped a 44-21 decision. Things don’t get easier this week when the 6-0 and state-ranked Clear Fork Colts show up at Unckrich Stadium. A win would put Galion back in the playoff picture.

3. Colonel Crawford (2-4): The Eagles broke their four-game losing skid with a 55-13 win at Bucyrus. Trevor Shawber, the Northern 10 Conference’s leading rusher, dented the Redmen defense for 228 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns. Colonel Crawford makes a long road trip to Oregon Cardinal Stritch, looking to work back to the .500 mark on the season.

4. Crestline (3-3): The Bulldogs fell to Miller at Corning on Saturday, 47-13. Rebounding against 5-1 Lucas this week will be a tall order. However, Crestline has three winnable games on the schedule to finish season.

5. Bucyrus (1-5): The Redmen could not control Colonel Crawford’s running game last week and shot themselves in the foot in the red zone. If Bucyrus can capitalize on scoring opportunities and at least slow Upper Sandusky down on defense, the Homecoming queen and her court will go home happy.

6. Buckeye Central (0-6): The Bucks lost the battle of the winless for the second week in a row, falling to Sandusky St. Mary, 46-14. A road trip to Carey this week offers little relief for beleaguered Buckeye Central. The Bucks must limit turnovers and shorten the game by ball possession to have any chance against the Blue Devils.
