The inaugural Crawford County high school football power ranking list was voted on by staff members of the North Central Ohio Media Group, including WQEL, WBCO and Crawford County Now. Each staff member cast one ballot with each ranking worth a set amount of points. After all ballots were cast, the totals were calculated and the rankings were made. Here are the first-ever Crawford County Now football power rankings.

  1. Colonel Crawford

The Eagles efficiently converted their 364 yards of total offense against Mt. Gilead in 46 points. Trevor Shawber rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns. The CC defense also limited the Indians to 162 total yards.

2. Wynford

Despite an uncharacteristic lopsided 49-0 loss, the Royals grab the second spot in the inaugural poll. Liberty-Benton is, after all, a traditional power and Wynford is filling some key spots with new players. Look for the Royals to rebound and improve as the season progresses.

3. Galion

The Tigers piled up 421 yards of offense and the defense kept Bucyrus out of the end zone in a 34-0 Galion victory. The Tigers will try to maintain that momentum into the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference schedule.

  1. Buckeye Central

The Bucks did give up 420 yards on the ground to Plymouth in a 34-14 loss. But BC also gained 361 yards on offense. The Bucks will see if they can shore up the defense entering N10 play this week against Mohawk.

  1. Crestline

Though allowing 47 points to a tough Monroeville team, the Bulldogs showed resilience by scoring 18 points of their own. Crestline looks for its first win with a trip to Grove City Christian.

  1. Bucyrus

The Redmen struggled on offense but were only down 13-0 with four minutes left in the first half. Galion scored twice in the last four minutes to put the game out of reach. Taking care of the ball and stopping the run will be key this week at rival Wynford.
