BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Now Athletes of the Week presented by River’s Edge Embroidery, Screen Printing and Signs have been selected by the fans.
This week we hit the mat and the hardwood to find the winners.
The boys’ athlete of the week winner for Dec. 3-8 is Austin Fulton, a Bucyrus wrestler.
According to his nomination biography, Fulton pinned all four of his opponents at the Tom Ellis Classic in route to a first-place finish at 138-pound weight class. His effort and leadership also paved the way for a first-place finish in the 12-team field.
Fulton was selected with more than 110 votes for his performance.
The winner of the girls’ athlete of the week was Bucyrus girls’ basketball player Alivia Lewis.
Lewis scored 24 points in the Lady Redmen’s loss to Riverdale on Dec. 8. She was 17-20 from the free throw line to help the Lady Redmen.
