BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Now Athletes of the Week presented by River’s Edge Embroidery, Screen Printing and Signs have been selected for Feb. 11-16, 2019.
It’s the twilight of the winter sports season, but this week’s winners have goals that go far beyond the regular season.
This week’s boy athlete of the week is Austin Fulton, a wrestler from Bucyrus High School.

Fulton helped lead the Redmen to a third-place Northern 10 finish Feb. 16 at Mohawk High School, by winning his 132-pound weight class.
The senior mat rat was not down, however, as he followed his league championship with a sectional title in the same weight class at the Plymouth sectional to advance to the district meet.
The girl athlete of the week has been looked to as a leader by her team all season, as she is the lone senior on the team.
Wynford High School girls basketball player Olivia Grove showed her leadership on the court as she excelled in her final two regular season games in a Royals jersey, with two statistical double-double performances.

Grove had 15 points, 17 rebounds, three steals and two blocks Feb. 12 despite the Royals suffering a 48-43 loss to Ridgedale.
She would, however, show up once again in the stats category on senior night Feb. 15 versus Upper Sandusky. Grove finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds, four steals and two blocks in Wynford’s 53-26 win against the Rams.
Wynford has since claimed a sectional title and moved on to the district tournament.
Congratulations to this week’s honorees!
