The Eagles swept onto the Tigers’ home turf Monday and took off with a win. The Lady Eagles schooled the Tigers 77-17 while the boys’ swim team defeated their counterparts 53-41.

Galion coach Ted Temple noted Allison DeNero and Eli Skaggs as outstanding swimmers for the meet. DeNero led the Lady Tigers with second place honors in the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Butterfly, both season-best times. Skaggs finished first in the 50 and 100 yard Freestyle events. Clay Karnes earned a first place finish in the 100 Butterfly and finished second in the 500 Freestyle. Luke Eisnaugle won the 100 yard Backstroke event.

Colonel Crawford travels to Lexington tomorrow for a 5:30 p.m. meet while Galion remains at home as they take on Pleasant at 4 p.m. On Saturday, six Galion swimmers will compete at the Ned Reeb Swimming at the Ohio State University McCorkle Center.
