After spotting Mohawk an 8-0 lead, the Colonel Crawford Eagles held the Warriors in check the rest of the game, outscoring them 24-0.
Carried on the Back of Blake Treisch’s 159 yards rushing and three touchdowns, the Eagles remained undefeated on the young season.
Treisch brought the game within two points in the second quarter on six-play 24-yard drive that culminated in a 4yard touchdown run for the Eagle. Treisch struck again with 8:49 to go in the third on a 24 yard touchdown carry, and he struck again three minutes later on another touchdown run.
The Eagles will next play Wynford at home next week in a battle of unbeatens.
In the annual Battle for the Paddle, it was Seneca East retaining the Honey Creek Paddle Trophy defeating Buckeye Central 46-14.
Coming off of last year’s heroics, Seneca East’s Brennan Martin led the Tigers’ offense completing 10 of 17 passes for 187 yards and 4 touchdowns. Martin also picked up another score on the ground. Brock Martin led the Tigers in rushing and receiving, gaining 84 yards on 8 carries for a touchdown on the ground, and 49 yards and another score on two receptions.
Seneca East got out to a quick 6-0 lead when Martin connected to Collan Martin on a 19 yard touchdown pass 20 seconds into the game. From there the Tigers’ first half onslaught was on as they scored 39 points in the first half with Buckeye Central posting a goose egg.
With running clock instituted in the second half Buckeye Central got on the board with 20 seconds to go in the third quarter to bring the game to 39-7 on a 44 yard Tyler Trapp to Jeff Hall catch and run.
Brock Martin added another score to start the fourth quarter when he ran a Buckeye Central kickoff 85 yards to post a Seneca East 46-7 lead.
With the Tigers firmly in the lead Buckeye Central finished out the game on a final drive that saw Kidron Wechter scoring on a 24 yard run with two seconds to go in the game.
Seneca East will look to stay unbeaten next Friday as they host Bucyrus.
Buckeye Central will look for their first victory as they travel to Crestline next Friday.

In other action around the county Wynford defeated Ridgedale 68-22, Galion lost to Keystone 40-6, and Crestline lost to South Central 26-21.
