NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford won the Tri-County Aquatic League championship at Colonel Crawford High School on Saturday. It was the 29th straight TCAL title for Colonel Crawford dating back to 1990.

Colonel Crawford finished with 2630 total points, Mount Gilead was second with 1336, Tiffin had 706, Upper Sandusky had 405 and Bucyrus White Sharks came in with 354 points.

Colonel Crawford won all the girls age groups along with the 8-and-under and 9-10 boys groups. Mount Gilead won the 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18 boys groups.

Nine meet or team records were set by Colonel Crawford.

Kaden Bruner set both a TCAL and team record with a 1:04.58 time in the boys 11-12 group 100 free. The girls’ 11-12 free relay team of Katelyn Long, Miranda Stone, Ashtyn Rickel and Emma Montgomery set a meet and team record time of 1:51.79.

The boys’ 8-and-under free relay team of Isaac Stirm, Trey Bruner, Grayden Bohach, and Colten Montgomery established a team record 1:12.09.

Colten Montgomery set TCAL records in 8-and-under 100 IM (1:22.21), 25 free (14.79) and 25 fly (15.90). Ashtyn Rickel had a meet record 31:18 in the 11-12 girls’ 50 backstroke, Miranda Stone with a 29.82 in the girls’ 11-12 50 fly and Cassidy Vogt had a 25.58 in the 15-18 girls’ 50 free.

In the boys’ 8-and-under medley relay, the team of Stirm, Bruner, Bohach and Montgomery set a TCAL time of 1:20.77. The girls’ 15-18 medley relay team of Cassidy Vogt, Emma Swisher, Jillianne Gregg and Pierce Krassow set a meet record of 2:00.33.

The oldest record to fall was in the 8-and-under 25 free by Colten Montgomery. The record had been established in 1984 by Bryan Parsons.
