One player returned to the girls’ list and there was one newcomer to the boys’ list for Week 3 of the Crawford County Now Player of the Year Watch.

The players do not appear in any specific order.

Girls

Jenna Karl, Sr., Buckeye Central: Karl’s scoring average did dip slightly from last week to 15.9 points per game but she continues to lead the N10 in assists at 6.7 per game and in steals at a gaudy 5.0 per contest. Karl is also third in the loop 3-point shooting.

Megen Hensel, Sr. Upper Sandusky: Hensel returns to the watch list after a one-week hiatus. Hensel is tied for fifth in the league in scoring at 16.9 ppg., third in rebounding (9.9) and third in assists (5.0).

Sydney Kin, Sr., Carey: Kin is tied with Hensel for fifth in scoring. She also leads the league in blocks at 3.5 per game and is second in both field goal percentage and rebounding (12.0).

Courtney Pifher, Jr., Buckeye Central: Pifher stayed second in the league in scoring at 18.7 ppg. The junior is tops in rebounding (12.3) and third in both field goal and free throw percentages.

Abigail Fogle, Sr., Upper Sandusky: Fogle maintained her league-leading scoring average at 21.6 ppg. She is fifth in the N10 in free throw shooting and in 3-point shooting percentage.

Boys

Ryan Evans, Sr. Bucyrus: Evans burst into the POY watch on the strength of his 30-point effort in the Redmen’s 68-64 win over Riverdale, which raised his scoring average to a league-leading 19.6 ppg. He is also shooting 50 percent from both 2-point and 3-point range.

Josh Crall, So., Wynford: Crall slipped to No. 2 in scoring (barely) behind Evans at 19.5 ppg. He is third in the league in steals with 2.2 per game.

Cameron McCreary, So., Colonel Crawford: McCreary’s scoring average slipped slightly to 17.4 ppg., but that is still good for third in the N10. He maintained his lead in assists, bumping that to 8.9 per contest for the 6-1 Eagles, who are now in sole possession of first place in the N10.

Jevon Dible, Sr., Upper Sandusky: Dible is sixth in N10 scoring at 16.5 ppg. He is second in steals (2.6), fifth in assists (3.4) and fifth in rebounding (7.1) for the 6-2 Rams.

Zach Hayman, Jr., Mohawk: Hayman edged up to third in scoring at 18.5 ppg. The sophomore is also averaging 3.2 assists per game and 49.4 percent from the field.
