The Buckeye Central Bucks couldn’t exorcise the Blue Devils during their homecoming Friday night, as Carey would blank the Bucks 46-0.
Carey jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first scoring all three touchdowns in the final 5:30 of the quarter, from there the avalanche of points continued, scoring 13 in the seconds quarter, and another 12 in the third quarter to pick up the victory.
Brayden Wentling led the Blue Devils through the air, going 9 of 12 for 164 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground Carey scored five rushing touchdowns with Cody Luzador and Gavin Woods scoring two touchdowns apiece. Luzador led the Blue Devils rushing attack with 128 yards on six attempts.
Woods would score another touchdown through the air with four receptions and 84 receiving yards.
Buckeye Central was led by Trenton Langjahr with 65 yards on 5 receptions.
With the win Carey improves to 3-4 overall with a 3-1 N10 record.
In their loss Buckeye Central falls to 1-6 and 1-4 in their division. Buckeye Central will travel to Bucyrus next Friday.

In other action around the county Wynford remained undefeated downing Lima Central Catholic 43 – 7, Colonel Crawford defeated Ridgedale 61 – 8, Upper Sandusky defeated Bucyrus 47 – 14, River Valley defeated Galion 35 – 3 and Crestline went down to Lucas 63 – 28. Outside of the county and in other N10 action Seneca East remained undefeated besting Mohawk 18 – 6 setting up a battle of the unbeatens, and possibly the N-10 crown next week as Wynford will travel to Seneca East.
