Bucyrus wrestlers won the inaugural Cub Classic Invitational at Lucas High School on Thursday.
The Redmen secured firsts in three weight classes and one second to finish first in the 12-team field.
First-place finishers were Austin Fulton at 138, Kael Scott at 152 and Damen Parsell at 160.
Tyee Trent took second at 182. Third-place finishers were Mason Ricker (120), Tanner Alsept (145), Joey Patterson (220) and Jacob Lambert (285). In fourth place were Cameron Bloomfield (126) and Logan Benedict (132).
Shelby finished second behind Bucyrus. Other teams participating were Arcadia, Cardington, Dalton, Danville, Columbus East, Elgin, Fairbanks, Geneva, Lucas and Malvern.
The Redmen grapplers return to the mats at the J.C. Gorman next weekend.
