The Bucyrus Lady Redmen travelled to Shelby Saturday night with the hopes that their hoops season would continue.
After defeating Crestview 62-45, Bucyrus was able to cut down the net and move on in the State Tournament.
The Lady Redmen were led by Macey Sheerer, who led all scorers, with 25 points. Kelci Simms added 11 points to the cause.
With the win Bucyrus improves to 18-5 and will travel to Seneca East for the Division III District Semi-Final game against Oak Harbor at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 27.
The Lady Cougars were led by Renee Stimpert’s 17 points; Caitlyn Fulk put up 11 points.
Crestview’s season ends with a 9-15 record.
