After upsetting undefeated Carey on Saturday, Buckeye Central got a taste of its own medicine from the Bucyrus Redmen Tuesday.

The Bucks came out strong, scoring 14 points in the first period to Bucyrus’ six. The two teams battled it out in the second period, each adding 11 points to their score to go into halftime with Buckeye Central up 25-17. The Redmen rallied in the third, however, to close the gap to five points before tying the game up in the fourth period at 44. Bucyrus scored an additional four points in overtime versus Buckeye Central’s two to finish the game 48-46.

Grant Loy led the Bucks with 14 points. Austin Wurm also scored in the double digits with 10 points. Loy and Wurm are both in the top ten leading scorers in the N10. Bucyrus’ Austin Williams and Cole Hollis led their team with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Buckeye Central is 4-2 in the N10, 6-3 overall and currently sits behind undefeated Colonel Crawford and Carey in the standings. The Bucks’ next game will be at home on Jan. 3 versus Colonel Crawford.

Bucyrus is 4-2 in the N10, 6-2 overall. The Redmen will travel to Carey on Jan. 3.
