BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Lady Red tennis team won their first match of the season with a 3-2 win over visiting Fostoria on Tuesday.
Hannah Scott defeated Lily Aufdencamp, 6-4, 6-4, in first singles for Bucyrus. Addy Young topped Kam Coopshaw, 6-0, 6-1, in second singles for the Lady Red.
In second doubles, Emma Graves and Ella Green took three sets to get by Ally Lewis and Isabell Rios, 6-7, 7-5, 7-3.
Fostoria got wins in third singles, where Rachelle Baccom edged Natalie Hankins, 7-5. 6-2, and in first doubles, as Laura Cook and Bri Barchus dropped Layla Swerlein and Addy Weber, 6-2, 6-3.
In junior varsity matches, Lily Engelhorn and Mya Rothhaar won, 6-1, Lady Faye McCoy and Isabel Johnson won 6-4, while Amirah Price and Mya Rothhaar dropped their decision, 4-6.
Bucyrus returns to the courts on Thursday, hosting Upper Sandusky.
