The Bucyrus Lady Redmen pounded out 12 hits Friday night as they defeated Willard in 5 innings 12-1, in the Division III sectional championship game played at Bucyrus High School.  With the victory, Bucyrus moves on to district play starting Tuesday at Clyde High School.

After giving up a first inning run to Willard, Bucyrus responded by scoring four times on four hits with the big blow being a two run single by Laney Mollenkopf.  The Lady Redmen added three runs in the second as again Mollenkopf contributed a two run single.  Bucyrus added 5 runs in the fourth to clinch their 20th win of the season.  Bucyrus also got multi-hits from Jackie Gabriel, Nikki Tuttle, and Macey Sheerer.

Taylor Rossman picked up the victory with 10 strikeouts.

In one other tournament game Friday afternoon, the Wynford baseball team defeated Lakota 3-1.  Wynford advances to the Division III district tournament starting Thursday at Heidelberg University.
