The Bucyrus Redmen football team will host a three-day football camp from 10 a.m. until noon June 11, 12 and 13.
The camp, which will be held at the Bucyrus Secondary School, is open to any player entering kindergarten through sixth grade. The cost of camp is $25 per person or $45 for two family members, and includes a T-shirt. Checks can be made payable to the Bucyrus Football Boosters.
“Our three-day skills camp will help younger players learn fundamentals and plays which serve as the building blocks to success at the latter stages of our football program,” Bucyrus coach Aaron Eckert said. “Our goal is to make the learning process fun while helping them to improve their overall performance.” In addition to learning the basics, campers will participate in several challenges such as tug-of-war, tough man and league champions.
Parents interested in having their child participate must sign a consent form, which can be found online at www.bucyrusschools.org under the “BHS Sports Camp” Athletics page. Camp deposits and information should be sent to Eckert at the secondary school, 900 W. Perry St. Campers should wear athletic clothing and bring rubber cleats or running shoes. Water and Gatorade will be provided.
