NEW LONDON (Crawford County Now) — Bucyrus boys placed third in the Dan Olien Invitational here Saturday morning with 70 team points.

Keystone (24 points) won the event, with North Ridgeville (66) taking second.

Karter Boggs captured the boys 2-mile run in 10:06.14, nearly 17 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, Jamie Yurnovich of Keystone.

The Redmen’s Anderson (AJ) Griffin came in ninth in 10:55.11, while freshman Micah Spears took 19th clocking in at 11:43.45.

Mohawk’s Phoenix Nally finished fifth with a 10:55.11 clocking. Teammate Kolton Wood was 10th in 10:56.54.

Eagles take third at Marion Harding

MARION — Colonel Crawford boys took third at the Marion Harding Invitational Saturday.

The Eagles (170) finished behind winner Mount Gilead (48) and runner-up Defiance (148). The host Presidents took fourth and Ontario fifth.

The Eagles Isaac Stirm finished 11th with a time of 16:54.43. Teammate Shawn Auck was 12th in 16:57.93.

Highland’s Caleb Burton won the event in 15:53.60.

Brogan Weston of Ridgedale finished second in 16:08.57. Fellow Rockets Michael Richmond was 47th and Raj Singh 147th.

Upper Sandusky took seventh, with Franklin Arnold finishing 22nd in 17:16.13.

Harding’s top placer was Jaidin Ramirez, who was seventh in 16:34.67.

Highland was eighth and Northmor 10th.

In the girls division Northmor won top honors, with River Valley coming in sixth and Harding eighth.

Harding’s Leah Price placed sixth in 19:45.58.
