FOSTORIA (Crawford County Now) — The Bucyrus boys’ bowling team advanced to the district tournament with a fourth-place finish at the sectional tournament at Bowlero Lanes.

The Redmen rolled a three-game regulation total of 2652. Combined with their six Baker games total of 1139 gave them a team total of 3791. Bucyrus was only 25 pins out of third place and 50 behind first-place Liberty Benton.

Brody Higginbotham led Bucyrus with a 587 series, good for eighth overall individually. Seth Price was 10th with a 581 and Dustin Feck was 16th with a 531.

Wynford just missed advancing as a team with a 3659 total, which put them in fifth place. Aiden Mason, however, moved on as an individual with a 579 series, good for 11th place. Briar Ridge and Landen Bargar were 20th and 21st with 517 and 503, respectively.

Upper Sandusky (3187) was sixth and Colonel Crawford (3081) was seventh in the 12-team field. Aydian Russell was CC’s top bowler with a 521 series and 18th place finish. Luke Shields was 22nd with a 497.

The top single-game score of 241 went to two bowlers from second place Kenton. Hudson Latimore had his in the second game and Jesse Harrison rolled his in the third game.

The district tournament is Thursday at 10 a.m. at Interstate Lanes in Rossford.
