The Bucyrus Athletics Boosters is excited to host the Holiday Kick Off 5K and Kids Fun Run Sunday, Nov. 12. The event is a fundraiser for the organization to help provide financial support to all athletic teams at Bucyrus High School.
The pre-registration period ends Nov. 1, 2017. Entry fee for this event is $20 per adult and $10 per child, which includes an event t-shirt if registered by Nov. 1. Registrations will be accepted after the pre-registration deadline, but t-shirts are not guaranteed after that date.
“The Athletic Boosters do a great job supporting each athletic program we offer,” said Athletics and Activities Director Rick Rawson. “We are excited to host this event and hope to make it an annual event.”
Race day registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. at Bucyrus High School, with the race starting at 8:30 a.m. The top three finishers in each age group will receive medals, along with awards presented to the first overall male and first overall female finisher.
Those interested in participating in the Holiday Kick Off 5K and Kids Fun Run can download a registration form from the district website at www.bucyrusschools.org under the “Extracurricular” tab. Completed registration forms, along with a check payable to Bucyrus Athletic Boosters, should be mailed to Bucyrus Summer 5K & Fun Run, P.O. Box 1, Bucyrus, OH 44820.
