The Buckeye Central Bucks and Seneca East Tigers were looking for the same thing Friday night, though with different outcomes. If Buckeye Central won, they would pick up their first win on the season, but if Seneca East won they would remain undefeated.

It turned out that Buckeye Central picked up their first win by defeating Seneca East 60-49. The game started off rocky for the Bucks as they exchanged ties and leads with Seneca East through the first two quarters. Buckeye Central went into the half with a one-point lead, 26-25, and didn’t look back. After the third period Buckeye Central cruised to a comfortable 49-35 lead before finishing the Tigers off in the fourth quarter.

Buckeye Central was led by Dalton Scheaffer with 17 points and three rebounds, Max Loy added 13 points and five boards, and Jacob Shade contributed 12 points and three rebounds.

With the win Buckeye Central improves to a 1-3 record on the season and 1-1 in the N-10.

Johnny Diehm led the Seneca East Tigers with 17 points and five rebounds, while Brady Ferris added 14 points and four rebounds.

With the loss Seneca East falls to 3-1 on the season with a 1-1 record in the N10.

Both teams will be in action Saturday night as Buckeye Central will take on New Riegel at New Riegel, while Seneca East will take on Bucyrus at home.

In other N10 action around the area Wynford defeated Ridgedale 50-37, Colonel Crawford beat Mohawk 51-43, and Upper Sandusky downed Carey 61-48. In MOAC action Galion fell to Buckeye Valley 63-45.
