Buckeye Central never trailed Tuesday night defeating St. Mary Central Catholic 70-54 at the boys Division IV district semifinals played at Willard High School.

The Bucks scored the game’s first 4 points. However, after St. Mary tied the game at 6, BC went on a 13 to 5 run to finish the first period leading by a score of 19-11.

IMG_4633Buckeye Central increased their lead throughout the game, leading 30-20 at halftime, and a 44-29 lead after three periods.

With the victory Buckeye Central advances to Friday night’s championship game against Plymouth, who defeated St. Peter’s 48-41 earlier in the evening.

The Bucks, who are now 17-8 on the year, were led in scoring by Austin Wurm with 21 points. Grant Loy added 19 and Seth Ollis contributed 12.

Melvin Jackson led the Panthers with 23 points.
