Buckeye Central celebrated their homecoming game by running roughshod over the Ridgedale Rockets Friday night 55-0.

Grant Loy began the scoring barrage when he took a 10 yard quarterback keeper to pay dirt with 6:54 to go in the first to put the Bucks up 6-0.

Buckeye Central’s second possession of the game came to a close with Cody Roberts carrying the rock 10 yards for his first score of the game. Loy ran in the two point conversion to put B.C. up 14-0.

The Bucks went to the air for a score during their next possession with Loy hooking up with wide receiver Brice Brennan for a 50 yard touchdown pass to extend the Buckeye Central lead to 21-0.

The fourth possession of the Bucks was much like the first possession, ending with a Loy touchdown run and a 28-0 lead.

With the first half nearing its close Ridgedale mounted a drive that took the Rockets down to Buckeye Central’s one yard line. With one second to go before the half Ridgedale’s quarterback Brandon Jaggers attempted to get his team on the board, but the Bucks defense didn’t give Jaggers the satisfaction stuffing the rockets as the first half clock time expired.

The first half onslaught by Buckeye Central continued into the second half with Roberts rumbling for a 20 yard score to put B.C. up 35-0 and running clock rules. As the clock continued to run the B.C. defense and reserves put up 20 more points to close out the game.

Buckeye Central’s offense scored on each of their possessions and once on defense when Scott Heydinger intercepted a Jaggers pass for a touchdown.

Prior to be being pulled Roberts amassed 207 yards on 15 carries for 2 touchdowns for Buckeye Central. Loy went 7-10 passing for 124 and a touchdown.
