With the NCC season winding down, some teams had difficulties getting out of the starting blocks Friday night.
Buckeye Central continued leading the NCC by defeating Upper Sandusky 56-27.
Buckeye Central grabbed the lead early starting the game with a 10-0 run and never looked back.
Austin Wurm was the Buckeye’s as well as the games leading scorer with 20 points. Cole Stacklin contributed 11 points to B.C.’s winning effort.
With the win Buckeye Central improves to 17-2 with a 10-1 record in the NCC
Westin Vent led the Rams scoring efforts with 10 of the teams 27 points.
In a three point shoot out the Colonel Crawford Eagles defeated the Wynford Royals 74-61.
The Royals spotted the Eagles 8 points at the beginning of the contest, and Colonel Crawford never trailed.
Colonel Crawford was led by Connor McCreary who scored 22 points while making 6 threes. Logan Sager added 17 points with 4 threes, and Todd Entenmann contributed 13 points to the Eagles winning efforts.
With the win Colonel Crawford is now 15-4 on the season with a 9-2 NCC record trailing only Buckeye Central.
Wynford’s Mason Davis led all scorers for the game with 25 points hitting 6 threes, Jake Glowaski added 15 points, and Austin Shutler had 10 points.
With the loss the Royals slip to a 4-14 record and fall to 2-10 in conference play.
The Bucyrus Redmen defeated the Crestline Bulldogs 61-47 to improve to 12-8 on the season.
Austin Williams led the Redmen’s charge with 18 points, Greg Patrick put up 12 points, and Dalon King contributed another 10 points.
With the win Bucyrus improves to 6-6 in the North Central Conference.
The Bulldogs’ Nate Coffman had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Lee Hurst contributed 13 points, and Blake Hunger added another 10 points.
With the loss the Crestline Bulldogs fall to a 3-15 regular season record and a 1-11 record in conference play.
In other league action Galion defeated Riverdale 76-68. Stats for the game were not available as of this writing.
