In a back and forth battle between longtime rivals, the Buckeye Central Buckettes emerged victorious over the Colonel Crawford Lady Eagles at Mac Morrison Gymnasium Friday night.

Colonel Crawford started off quickly against Buckeye Central as the Lady Eagles went on a 9-2 run. Buckeye Central battled back to even things out at 27 points apiece at the half.

The back and forth battle continued into the third quarter with teams trading baskets. Buckeye Central started to pull away in the fourth; however, the Lady Eagles battled back to pull the game within two, 49-47, with 51 seconds to go in the game.

That would be the closest the Lady Eagles would get as Buckeye Central would go on to a 56-49 victory.

Buckeye Central had three scorers reach double digits with Emma Studer leading the way with 14 points. Both Haley Green and Jenna Karl would add 12 points for Buckeye Central.

With the win the Buckettes improve to 17-4 on the season and 12-3 in the N10.

Colonel Crawford also had three scorers reach double digits with Taylor Webster having a game-high 16 points, Alexus Burkhart adding 15 points, and Ashley Gwirtz adding 14 points.

Colonel Crawford falls to 11-9 on the season and 8-7 in the N10.

In other action around the N10 the Upper Sandusky Lady Rams defeated the Wynford Lady Eagles 46-21, Carey beat Bucyrus 64-38, and Mohawk picked up the win over Ridgedale 52-36.

In MOAC boys action, Marion Pleasant defeated Galion 69-39.
