The NCC Girls Basketball race came to a head Friday night with first place teams Wynford and Riverdale clashing for conference supremacy.

The House of Thrills lived up to its name in the battle for first place with Riverdale narrowly edging Wynford 59-57.

Brenna Quinn scored a double, double for the Royals, scoring 19 points and hauling in 12 rebounds. Ellie Richmond led Wynford in scoring with 21 points. With the loss the Wynford girls drop
to an 8-3 record and a 5-1 conference record.

Riverdale was led by Jordan Wright who scored 19 points; Bre Parish added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the winning effort. With the win Riverdale improves to 8-2 on the season with a 6-0 record in the NCC.

The Buckeye Central Buckettes had a difficult time trying to answer back to the Bucyrus Lady Redmen Friday night losing to the division rival 50-20.

Macey Sheerer led the Redmen in scoring with 24 points, and teammate Kelci Simms attained a double, double by scoring 15 points and snagging in 17 rebounds. With the win Bucyrus improves to an 11-2 overall record, and a 5-2 record in the NCC.

Buckeye Central was led by Brooke Karl who scored 11 of the team’s 20 points. With the loss the Buckettes drop to a 4-6 overall record with a 2-4 record in conference play.

The Colonel Crawford Lady Eagles defended the Eagles Nest Friday defeating the Crestline Lady Bulldogs 69-14.

The Lady Eagles had four players achieve double digits in scoring with Katie Siegel leading the pack with 16 points. Cassie Sager contributed 15, Lexi Hoepf added 12 points, and Alexus
Burkhart put up 11 points. With the Win Colonel Crawford improves to an overall record of 2-9 with a 2-5 conference record.

Ellen Dailey led the Lady Bulldogs with 5 points. With the loss Crestline falls to a 1-8 overall record with an 0-6 record in the NCC.

The Upper Sandusky Lady Rams travelled to Galion to take on the Lady Tigers and walked away with a victory 42-22.

The Lady Tigers’ efforts were led by Ramonda Dorsey who put up 8 points. With the loss Galion drops to a 1-10 record and a 1-5 record in NCC play.

Taylor Graboski led the Upper Sandusky Lady Rams Scoring 17 points. The Lady Rams now improve to 6-5 and 4-2 in the NCC.
