ADA — Upper Sandusky scored one goal in each half and the defense held Ada scoreless in the Lady Rams’ North Central Ohio Soccer Association victory over the Bulldogs Tuesday.
Taylor Norris scored at 26:38 of the first half on an assist from Alivia Oney and Oney did the honors at 14:49 of the second half with an assist from Riley Messersmith.
Goalkeeper Cortni Brown had five saves for Upper Sandusky (7-8-1, 2-3 NCOSA). Ada falls to 4-11, 0-5.
The Rams will begin Division II sectional tournament play at Kenton on Monday. Ada plays at Allen East in a Division III tournament opener on Tuesday.
Seneca East 3, Wynford 0
HOLMES TOWNSHIP — Seneca East swept Wynford in three games, 25-13, 25-16, 25-13, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday.
Alli Scott led the Royals on 12 of 13 serving with five points. Macey Zinser had 10 kills and two blocks, Kelsie Williams had 14 digs and eight assists, Lainey Holman had 14 digs and Rylee Alspach had 17 receptions.
Wynford (5-16, 3-12 N10) competes the regular season versus Upper Sandusky at home. Seneca East (13-8, 12-4) plays at Willard on Saturday.
Buckeye Central 3, Bucyrus 0
NEW WASHINGTON — Buckeye Central kept its flickering hopes of an N10 volleyball title alive by defeating Bucyrus in three games, 25-6, 25-17, 25-14, on Tuesday.
Jordy Whitmore led the Redmen with 10 for 10 serving and had two aces, eight kills and 11 digs. Sydney McAdams was six for six serving along with four kills, nine assists and two digs. Jade Torres was also six for six serving with two aces and six digs.
Bucyrus (2-19. 0-15 N10) will finish the regular season at home against Carey on Thursday. Buckeye Central (15-6, 13-2) is at Colonel Crawford, also on Thursday.
