Galion 37, Bucyrus 13
GALION — Galion jumped out to a 14-0 lead then pulled away in the second half to retain the Seccaium Park Trophy for the 10th consecutive year.
Isaiah Alsip caught four passes for 116 yards, including a 35-yard touchdown. Quarterback Elias Middleton completed eight of 13 passes for 163 and two scores. Kalib Griffin caught one pass for a 21-yard touchdown. He also returned a free kick 74 yards for a touchdown.
Colbey Fox rushed 15 times for 108 yards and scored on runs of five and 17 yards. The Tigers piled up 323 yards of total offense.
Bucyrus trailed 20-0 at halftime but got on the board in the third quarter on a 46-yard run by Harley Robinson. He also grabbed a one-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter. Robinson had 91 yards of offense, 56 rushing and 35 receiving.
Devon Newland rushed for 77 yards on 21 carries. Ben Seibert completed four of 11 passes for 46 yards with one interception.
Crestline 26, Buckeye Central 6
CRESTLINE — Crestline got four receiving touchdowns from Jaxson France and the Bulldogs’ defense held Buckeye Central to 95 total yards en route to the victory in the battle of county rivals.
France caught scores for 29, 15 and 59 yards. Quarterback Ty Clark 176 yards, completing 13 of 22 attempts. Caleb Moore got the other touchdown on a two-yard run. Moore had 129 yards on the ground on 17 carries.
Avery Baldosser ran for 70 yards on 15 tries. He also scored the Bucks’ lone touchdown on an 89-yard kickoff return.
Colonel Crawford 49, Mount Gilead 8
MOUNT GILEAD — Colonel Crawford scored 42 first-half points then coasted to the non-league road win.
The Eagles held the Indians to 69 yards of offense. Zye Shipman connected on nine of 13 passes for 184 yards and touchdown passes of 13, 66 and six yards.
Dylan Knisely had 138 yards on the ground, including a four-yard touchdown. Colton Rowland ran only twice, but both were for scores — of four and six yards.
Mount Gilead avoided the shutout when Phil Weese hit Colton Cronenwett with a 29-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter.
Seneca East 41, Margaretta 12 (Thursday)
BELLEVUE — Seneca East generated 482 yards of offense to just 160 for Margaretta to cruise to the non-league victory played at Bellevue due to Margaretta not having its press box project complete.
Chase Foos competed 16 of 23 passes for 257 yards and two scores. Blaine Swartzmiller ran for 152 yards on 15 carries and scores of five, seven and 83 yards.
D. J. Ruffing had six catches for 127 yards and a 49-yard touchdown pass. Collan Martin grabbed four balls for 66 yards and a 27-yard score.
Bryceten Hedden had 21 carries for 108 yards and a four-yard score to lead the Polar Bears. Mitch Raifsnider caught a six-yard pass for Margaretta’s other score.
