BUCYRUS — Week two of the high school football season brought a home opener for the Wynford Royals and a chance for the Week 2 FCBank Friday Night Fan of the Week to see his favorite team in the comforts of home.
Ed Weisenauer is a Wynford superfan and has loved the Royals and passed on that love to younger generations.
Weisenauer is a 1973 graduate of Wynford High School.
He passed on his passion for the Royals to his son who is the Wynford High School girls’ golf coach.
He said his nephews also are Royals and add to the family’s love for the royal blue and gray.
Weisenauer said nothing beats a packed football stadium or a full W.R. Donnenworth gymnasium.
For being named Friday Night Fan of the Week, he will receive a t-shirt from River’s Edge Embroidery, Screen Printing and Signs in Marion.
