Congratulations to Wynford sophomore Toby Butterfield, this week’s Spitzer Motors Game Changer.

With the Royals up by just five points at the end of the 3rd quarter, Butterfield caught his only pass, a 14-yard touchdown from quarterback Dustin Brady. The touchdown gave Wynford a two-score advantage and led them to a 31-13 victory over Allen East.

The Royals moved to 2-1 on the season with the win.

The McDonald’s Player of the Game was Wynford’s Cody Taylor.

Congratulations to the Spitzer Motors Game Changer for Week 2, North Union Wildcat Carson Smith.

Late in the first half, Colonel Crawford was driving, and inside the 10-yard line, ready to make it a one possession game. Leading 21-8, Carson picked off a pass from Colonel Crawford at the 1-yard line and took the interception 99 yards the other way for one of his four touchdowns and turned it into a 14-point swing.

Along with the interception for a touchdown, Smith also ran into the endzone on runs of 43 and 50 yards, and caught a touchdown for 29 yards as well to help NU win 55-20.
