Yolanda L. Kocher, 84, of Galion passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Avita Galion Hospital.
Born December 16, 1938 in Bucyrus, she was the daughter of Richard and Doris (Corwin) Kalb. She married Donald L. Kocher on March 23, 1958 and he preceded her in death on April 2, 2015.
She was a graduate of North Robinson High School in 1956 and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Robinson and later First United Church of Christ in Galion. Landa first worked for Timken, United Church Directories, Riverside Carry Out, The Palmer House and lastly as an accounting assistant with Robert Maloy, CPA, retiring in 2013.
She and Don enjoyed being members of the local social clubs, especially the Moose Lodge 303 in Galion. Landa liked vacationing in Florida and the Pandora dances of years ago. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Landa was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching her favorite teams, the Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
She is survived by children, Jeff (Lori) Kocher of Galion, Rick Kocher of Galion and Lou (Duke) Newell of Powell; her extended family of children, Chuck, Jeff, Bob, Scott Zeisler and Sharon (Shawn) Duffner; grandchildren, Tyler (Kate) Kocher, Meghan (Jeff) Mobley, Kyle (Alyssa) Kocher, Shane Kocher, Whitney (Ben) Zimmer, Emily (Ben) Keller and Erica (Andrew Gerberry) Newell; great-grandchildren, Brandt, Tatum and Finn Kocher, Jolene, Jackson and Owen Mobley, Arlen Kocher and Manny Keller; extended Grandchildren, Jack (Elena) Duffner, Mitch (Gillian Null) Duffner, Casey (Bailey Chatham) Duffner and Extended Great Grandchild Luka and sister Connie (Jerry) Nye of Waco, Texas.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brother Robert Kalb.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday with Deacon Greg Kirk officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
