Wilma A. Swart, 86, of Brokensword, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at her home.

She was born March 12, 1935, in Crawford County to the late Perry and Florence (Green) Miller and attended Holmes-Liberty School. She met Marvin B. Swart at church and they were married April 12, 1956. Wilma was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who kept herself busy. She enjoyed cleaning, cooking, baking, canning, and sewing.

Along with being an exceptional homemaker, she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and worshipped at the Kaler Ave. Church of Christ in Christian Union. Wilma and Marvin enjoyed many road trips, especially to the Smoky Mountains and Amish Country.

Wilma is survived by her husband of 65 years, Marvin Swart; sons, Douglas Swart, Kevin Swart, and Duane (Rose) Swart; siblings, Dolores Brown, Marlene (Clair) Saltzman, Gladys (Kenneth) Wolf, Norma “Jane” Miller, Dale (Donna) Miller, Marvin Miller, and Darle (Diana) Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Sharon Young, Evelyn Miller, and Lyle Miller.

Services will take place on Wednesday, September 22 at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus. Wilma’s family will receive friends from 12 Noon – 1:55 pm and her funeral will begin at 2:00 pm with her nephew, Rev. Mark Barth, and Pastor Vernon Lore officiating. Burial will follow in Brokensword Cemetery.
