William D. ”Bill” Rall, 75, Crestline, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Bill was born in Upper Sandusky on August 26, 1942 to the late Lawrence V. and Lucille (Fisher) Rall.  He married Carol L. (Miletti) Rall on October 29, 1968 and she survives him.

Bill attended Dayton University for his undergraduate degree.  During his freshman year of high school, Bill entered the Seminary Pontifical College Josephinum, Columbus.  He studied at both the Toledo University and Bowling Green University, to obtain his master’s degree.  After graduation, he became a high school teacher of both English and Latin.  He then worked as a guidance counselor and a School Psychologist.  Bill retired from the Crestline School System after forty-nine years of service to education.  Bill was a very active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline.  He sang in the Men’s Choir and the Folk Group Choir.  In 1976 Bill was ordained a Deacon and began his ministry at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Crestline. Bill enjoyed camping and being outdoors.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Rebecca and Fred Ramsey, Dublin, Michelle and Phillip Rittenour, Bucyrus, Anthony and Deanna Rall, Kenton, Brian Rall, Crestline, five grandchildren; Megan Rittenour, Erin and Danny Hall, Jacob Rittenour, Sebastian Rall, Shane Rall, one great grandson, Everett Rittenour, his brothers, Richard and Jacquie Rall, San Luis Obispo, CA, Dennis and Rachel Rall, Crestline, Marcus and Marcy Rall, Upper Sandusky, and his sister, Peg & Russ Gase, Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathryn Anne Rall, and his brothers, Donald Rall and Paul Rall.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline.  A Scripture Service will be held at 7:30 PM by Rev. Christopher Bohnsack at the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline, with Monsignor Marvin Borger, Rev. Michael A. Geiger and Rev. Christopher Bohnsack officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crestline.
