
William “Ernie” Kennedy, 58 of Bucyrus, OH passed away with his wife Karen “Katt” sitting by his side. Ernie loved campfires, fishing, Busch Light beer, and big fat deer!
Ernie was born July 2, 1962, to the late Ruth Maxine Watkins and in addition to her was preceded in death by his stepfather John Watkins. On December 23, 2007, he married Karen “Katt” (Cooley), Kennedy. Ernie also leaves behind daughter Shandi Harmon; son Tony Topping; grandson Peyton Topping all of Bellefontaine; step-grandson Tristan Lawhun; stepsons Matthew Lawhun and Kaliff Tanner; brother Bob Kennedy of Bucyrus; sisters Sharon Craig, Shirley Queen, Becky Locey, Franny Kennedy all of Bellefontaine, OH; Sisters in-laws Theresa and Becky Noggle; brother-in-laws Bill and Ted Cooley; nieces and nephews that include special niece Liberty; and his fur babies “Puddinhead”, “Chewy”, and “Puddytat”.
Ernie graduated from Bellefontaine H. S. in 1980 and moved back to this area 15 years ago from South Carolina. For the past 15 years, he worked at MTD.
The family will be holding private services at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and through the funeral home and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com.
