William C. Hancock, 77, of Bucyrus, died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky following an extended illness.
Bill was born March 7, 1940 to the late Harry J. and Eileen (Carle) Hancock. He was a 1959 graduate of Bucyrus High School and on September 3, 1961 he married Shirley A. Ten Eyck who survives.
Bill worked at Timken for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He was an active member at Good Hope Lutheran Church where he served as an usher and he was also a member of AA.
In addition to Shirley, Bill is survived by four children, Dan (Helga) Hancock, Doug (Christine) Hancock, Lyn (Scott) Zartman, and Ann (Steve) Massa; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Michael Hancock; as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by two brothers.
His family will receive friends from 11 am-12:55 pm Saturday, January 27 at Good Hope Lutheran Church where his funeral will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Renee Ahern officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
