Wayne Rasnake, 89 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021, at Bucyrus Community Hospital.  Wayne was born May 9, 1932, in Jewel Ridge Virginia to the late Ellis R. and Edna T. (Jackson) Rasnake.  He was married December 26, 1953, to Elna J. (Brewington) Rasnake who preceded him in death on December 16, 2020.  He was also preceded in death by granddaughter Susanna, an infant daughter, an infant grandson, and four siblings.

Wayne is survived by children Pam (Ron) Morton of Sulphur Springs, Jeff Rasnake of Crestline, and Joel (Sara) Rasnake of Bucyrus; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters Othell McMichael of Bucyrus and Lottie LaRue of Bucyrus; and sister-in-laws Reba Wade of Florida, Denna (Loren) Lahman of Bucyrus, and Ruth Van Buskirk of Bucyrus.

Wayne had worked at Swan, The Bucyrus Blades, and last worked in Retail Resets.  He moved to Bucyrus in the early 1950s and was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  Wayne had been active in Little League Baseball, serving as President, and also Junior Achievement.  He was a member of Gideon’s and the Faith Baptist Church.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 pm in the Crawford County Memory Gardens with Pastor Dave Davenport officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Gideon’s through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com.
