Warren G. Uxley, Sr., 92, of Galion, passed away April 10, 2018 at Magnolia Terrace in Galion.
Born August 29, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Warren S. and Miranda (Beaston) Uxley. He married Erma A. (Fox) Uxley on May 31, 1950 and she preceded him on May 22, 2006.
Warren served during World War II in the United States Navy, enjoyed opera, classical music and reading. He worked as an engineer for the former Bell Telephone and retired from United Telephone.
He is survived by children, Warren G. Uxley, Jr. of Galion, Lee D. (Sara) Uxley of Galion and Mark (Lori) Uxley of Pickerington; grandchildren, LeeAnne (Joshua) Thomas, Laura (Nathan) Cass, Andrew Uxley, Alexander Uxley and Adam Uxley, great granddaughter, Emmalyn Thomas; sister, Gloria Nolan of Lansdale, Pennsylvania and sister-in-law, Mary Gustafson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
At Warren’s request no services will be held and a private burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in care of the funeral home.
